For families

Everything you need to know before your child's first visit.

Who can come?
Kids in kindergarten, grade 1 and grade 2 (about ages 5 to 8). Your child doesn't need to be behind to come; kids who are ahead work on harder packets.
What does it cost?
Nothing. WeMath is free.
How do we sign up?
Fill in the short sign-up form. The center director will call or email you to set up a first visit.
What happens on the first visit?
Your child does a short math check for their grade. It isn't a test they pass or fail; it shows which skills they already have so we know where to start.
How long is a session?
Most sessions are 45 minutes to an hour. Your child checks in at the front desk tablet when they arrive.
What should my child bring?
Nothing but themselves. We have the packets, pencils and everything else.
How will I know how my child is doing?
You'll get a family portal login. It shows each visit, the packets your child has mastered, what they're working on now, and short notes from the tutor with ideas to practice at home.
Who are the tutors?
Instructors and volunteers from the community. Every tutor finishes WeMath training on teaching and on keeping children safe before working with kids. Tutors always work in the open room, never alone with a child.
Who can pick my child up?
A parent or guardian, or another adult you have told the center director about. Children never leave on their own unless you have arranged that with the director.
What if my child misses a week?
That's fine. Their tutor picks up where they left off; every session is written down.
